Terms of Use

Last updated 8 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and MotoBFF, run by Matej Pribanić, Croatia. By creating an account you accept them.

Who can use MotoBFF

You must be at least 18 years old. You must hold a valid licence and insurance for any motorcycle you ride, and follow the traffic laws where you ride.

Your account

Sign in with Apple or Google and keep your account to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on it. Your riding level and profile must be honest: other riders plan around them.

Riding is at your own risk

MotoBFF helps riders find each other. It does not organise, lead, supervise or insure rides. Every rider decides for themselves whether to join a ride, how to ride, and when to turn back. Routes, places, opening hours and road information come from riders and public sources and may be wrong or out of date. Check conditions yourself, and never use the app while riding.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for accidents, injuries, damage or losses that happen on rides or at meet-ups, or for what other riders do. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

What you post

You keep the rights to what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show and share it within MotoBFF so the service works, for as long as it's on the service. Only post what you have the right to share. Follow the Community guidelines.

Zero tolerance

There is no place on MotoBFF for objectionable content or abusive users: harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, scams, or anything that puts riders at risk. Child sexual abuse material is reported to the police and the account is banned at once.

Moderation

Riders can report people and messages, and can block anyone. A person (not an automated system) reviews every report, aiming to decide within 24 hours. Depending on how serious it is, we may:

Every decision comes with its reasons, sent to you in the app. The people who reported it are told the outcome, never the other way round: we don't tell anyone who reported them. A suspended or banned account can still see why and delete itself. If you think we got it wrong, write to matej@motobff.app and we'll look again. Records of reports and decisions are kept for 365 days.

Some rules apply automatically, without a person deciding each time:

Every decision a person makes tells you what we did, how long it lasts, whether we considered it illegal or against these Terms (and which rule), and how to ask us to look again. You can also go to the courts of your country.

Report illegal content

Anyone, with or without an account, can tell us about content on MotoBFF they believe is illegal. In the app, use Report and choose "Illegal content". Or email matej@motobff.app with:

We confirm we've received it, decide without delay, and tell you what we decided and how to challenge it.

Points of contact

For authorities, the European Commission and the Digital Services Board, and for riders and anyone else: matej@motobff.app. We answer in Croatian or English.

MotoBFF Pro

MotoBFF Pro is an optional subscription: €7.99 a week, €14.99 a month or €79.99 a year in the EU (prices in other countries are shown in the app before you buy), with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan for new subscribers. Apple takes the payment and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your iPhone's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before it renews. Refunds are handled by Apple. Codes for free or discounted Pro are redeemed through Apple too.

Pro adds the full rider list near you and anywhere, who viewed your profile, joining and posting group rides anywhere, messaging riders more than 60 km away, an unlimited route planner and a Pro badge. Free accounts can create 5 routes with the route planner in total; deleting one doesn't give it back. Drawing routes, joining and chatting about nearby rides, places and every safety feature stay free.

Pro riders are shown first in Riders near you and in search, labelled with the Pro badge. The badge only means the rider supports MotoBFF: it is not an identity check or a recommendation.

Invite friends

Every rider has an invite link and code. A new rider can use one in their first 7 days on MotoBFF, and each Apple or Google account can use one invite, ever. A friend counts after a group ride that has actually happened, dated within 30 days of using your code, that they stayed on, with at least one other rider on it who isn't you or someone else you invited. They have to stay in good standing (not suspended or restricted).

When 8 friends count, a person checks the invites before anything is given. If they look genuine, you get one year of MotoBFF Pro, once per rider:

Accounts made to count for someone, duplicate accounts and anything else that games the program don't count. We can remove such friends from your invites, refuse the reward, and take back a year that was earned that way. We may change or end the program; a year already given stays yours unless it was earned by gaming it.

Creator badge

Some riders have a blue check: a verified creator. We give it by invitation, after the rider sends us a one-time code from their app, from the Instagram account being verified. It says who the rider is. It isn't a riding level, a safety check or a recommendation, and it can't be bought or requested. A creator gets MotoBFF Pro for free while they are one. Accepting sets the Instagram on their profile to the verified handle, shown to every rider with the badge whatever their Instagram privacy setting; if they change it, the badge hides until it matches again.

Creators agree to mark any post as an advertisement when MotoBFF gives them anything for it (Pro, codes or money), for example with Instagram's paid partnership label or #ad, and never to ask followers for App Store ratings or reviews in return for anything. The badge comes off while an account is suspended, and for good if the creator declines, breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or we end it.

The service

MotoBFF is provided as it is, and features may change. We try to keep it running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Law

Croatian law applies, without taking away the protection of the law of the country where you live. Disputes go to the courts of Zagreb, unless the law gives you the right to use your local courts.
